Mangala Camara
Mamoutou Camara (Mangala) was born in 1960 in the little village of Kéniéba ( Kayes / Mali).
Son of a military in the French army and a comedienne, he begins his musical career very young, in spite of the opposition of his family.
In 1971, only 11 years old, he integrates the regional Orchestra of Kayes.
Located by Salif Kéita, he integrates " The ambassadors " as drummer and singer in the choral.
Then Mangala is on tour in Europe in 1985.
In 1986 he is a prize-winner of the Great Price"Discovery" of Rfi.
Returned home in 2001, after 18 years of career ( 5 albums) in France, Mangala was considered as one in the most beautiful voices of Mali.
